Perhaps you can shed some light on this for me, and I appreciate your patience. Not knowing any better it seems the O/S's on the i3 and the PC are incompatible, but it's so frustrating 'cos I have a load of files on the PC, and via the PC on CD, which I would like to put into the i3. So I format the same disk on the i3 and put it into the PC, then the PC straightaway tells me 'You need to format this disk before you can use it'. Then when I put this disk into the i3, it whirred for a while before saying 'cannot read disk', with the same result when I tried to save a file from the i3 onto the disk. I just did a full format of a floppy on the PC which was OK. Posted: Sun 5:31 pm Post subject: i3 / pc (If you format it on the PC then select FULL format as opposed to 'quick'.) Test on a blank diskette first and then try to save some files on it on the i3. Remember not to format a diskette which has files you wish to keep - formatting will wipe the entire diskette clean. Even though they are often specified as 'pre-formatted' it still might be worth formatting first. I assume you are using a standard floppy diskette - I think your diskette may need formatting. My knowledge of these operations is very minimal, I'm just a simple musician but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also a similar thing when trying it the opposite way (i.e from PC to i3) When trying to load a file from my Korg i3 to my PC, I get a message 'you need to format this disc first, which kinda defeats the object.
